I'm still so confused how the very patriarchal society is somehow allowing princesses to have some kind of leadership power? Nap sack. Instead of knapsack. Please help

Swapping the twins names!! Very cool to not keep your own characters straight!! Also very cool to kill off the autistic coded one :) ascetic instead of aesthetic 🤧

The use of possessive instead of plural is the bane of my existence

Where is the romance? Nothing in this story makes me believe anything of the romance blossoming between the MC and the (self-insert) love interest. Glowed instead of glowered. Striving instead of thriving. Intentionally ads a disabled character (autistic coded?) but later has the MC make ableist remarks about her 👍 very neat, very necessary to the plot.

Droll means amusing 🤧 also in TWO SENTENCES the love interest is like "there are two rooms in the front, and 5 in the back. ... The five in the front". Excuse me

Irradiate instead of eradicate, lesson instead of lessen, among other bizarre typos 🤧

Not quite a third of the way in and I'm noticing a lot of English/grammar issues. And the dialogue is still grating :(

Another fantasy novel where the basic premise is the oppression of women and girls, we love to see it /sarcastic. I'm a bit confused since the vibe so far is "women can't do anything", but the main ruler appears to be the Queen? And most of the characters (of all ages) talk like modern day teen girls. It's incredibly off-putting, but I'm not sure the dialogue would be up to snuff for a modern YA about teen girls.
