I have read from the end of the Table of Contents, which is XI (10) which is the beginning of the pre-introduction, to page 1 (13 pages from XI to '1'), the first page of the book itself, which is starting with the Foreword.

I think the pre-introduction is important to read, and I appreciated context and the history lesson given with it, as well as showing the maps.
