HOLY CRAP. What a banger opening for a book. I haven't been this engrossed in a book in forever. A common thief stealing an artifact unearthed from the ruins of an ancient civilization. Said ancient beings had the technology to alter the fundamental laws of physics. Absolute masterful prose and pacing. I can't wait to read more of this.
