I can look past dual-wielding swords because its cool, but armor is not heavy. Armor was made to fight in and the weight is spread evenly through the body. Not only that, if fighting a typical retainer that I would assume would be wearing less armor, those with plate armor would gave a significant advantage.

Solid prose thus far. One line kinda irked me where it said “neither noble nor peasant” which simply does not make sense. I do like the worldbuiding but there does seem to be lack of variation in the armor design which is strange for such a large distance between countries. The dragons are sick though.
