I have such a fondness for the Anne stories! I devoured them as a kid, read them all, then all over again, then ended up finding and reading everything LMM wrote, including poetry and short stories, except 1 book. This set me up to love a prickly black cat character and rivals to lovers.

Anne of Green Gables is probably one of my favourite stories of all time. I discovered my love for reading just a few years ago, but I adored the 1985 movie adaptation growing up.
Yeah, I also think I fell in love with that trope, (before I even knew what a 'trope' was ) after watching those movies. 🙈
Ha... My love of reading has been strong since grade 1. We used to have ziplock bags, and there was a maximum of how many books we could put in the bag to take home to read. I always took the max of 5. One day, the teacher came over cuz I was staring at the shelves, asked what was up. I said that I couldn't find any books I hadn't read. She opened the door to the next classroom and let me pick books from the gr 2 room. Then when I was in gr 2, they started taking our class to the school library. Next thing I knew, straight into 200+ page chapter books. I'd bring a backpack to my school and public library and take out more than 10 books at a time. Having a Kindle Unlimited membership as an adult now is a dream come true lol.

It was nice that your teacher let you find new books in the other classroom then. Hahaha, yes I can see that. Even more books, but without the workout.💪😂
I remember reading a goosebumps book in 2nd grade (they were super-popular). I took it home, got about halfway through, before I got scared to death.☠️ So I took it back. And at some point after that, my young mind must have decided that reading was NOT it.
I'm hoping KU will be available here soon too, since I have some reading to catch up on.😅
