Like Lydia, I often feel like I have been instructed to sit in a cramped puppet booth with no direction. For two seconds I'd feel accomplished only to realize that there was no direction involved. Then, get scolded by the person who placed me there because I didn't understand the assignment or "help out" where I should have been.

The first chapter is completed! There is a sense of loneliness and longing experienced by the main character and an unhealthy relationship with her mother. All I keep thinking about is the 'giiiiiirrrl dinnneerrrr" sound.
