“Our wedding?” Peyton asks hesitatingly.

“Excuse me? When did you propose? When did I agree?” Peyton blusters.

“I don’t think you want those answers at this table in front of your parents,” Heather deadpans.

“Of course. It’s like a cheerleading pyramid. We’re the base, and she’s the flyer,”

“Our relationship is a pyramid stunt?”

“I want the opportunity to love you until we go gray and wrinkly, and I have to take some fucking medication to get it up to be of use to the two of you so you don’t fuck without me.”

“You- you know that we’re together?” Peyton stutters.

“Baby girl, we’re a different generation than you are, but we aren’t stupid,” Regina huffs.

“You forget how intimately acquainted I’ve gotten with Peyton’s mother. Regina thinks you walk on fucking water,” Heather reminds me.

“Until I tell her I’ve deflowered her sweet baby girl. I think all bets are off at that point. Then I’m just some entitled white boy who is a threat,” I reply.

“Oh, good. I love being the bad guy,” he groans.
