This book would be like 200% better if it didn't try to force an "enemies to lovers" thing
Venya literally has NO reason to resists him or dislike him. None at all. It feels so contrived I want to scream. Also, as expected tbh, Kassimir is now way too pathetic to be anything close to attractive. Stopppp.....

Please someone save me from the formulaic "generic sorta kind (but not to him) scholar girl and generic secretly soft boy with a dark reputation he doesn't live up to have no chemistry for one hundred pages"

It's really meh so far. I don't vibe with the insta attraction, there is no real chemistry between the MCs and I don't feel much for either of their characters yet... We'll see. Although I would love it if this book stopped mentioning Kass' physical size, I'm so bored by the huge man/small girl thing like, at least don't make it that big a deal please.

At least Venya isn't annoying, she is actually quite likable.
