This book has the potential to be one of my favorite horror books ever. I hope the second half holds up. It has a queer (mspec) protagonist whom I relate to on a painful level. Some lines have been so gut wrenchingly real that I’ve nearly gasped out loud and several of the creepier parts have had me scared to breathe as I listened to the audiobook in the middle of the night. Can’t wait for the climax.
