It has its fair balance of pros and cons. Amin seems to come to a definition of "terrorism" that has conspicuous weaknesses, especially compared with the US DoD definition he rejects for not-totally-clear reasons earlier in the first chapter. The second chapter is entirely devoted to surah 8, ayah 60, and while Amin gets around to providing some useful insight, I'm not a big fan of the style of endlessly surveying various commentators while scarcely giving much input of his own. That's my impression so far; but I'm a fan of any work of Islamic scholarship that argues directly and forcefully against terrorism while seriously engaging the Qur'anic text.
