Just finished Reading the first chapter—about A Phillip Randolph’s threatened 1941 March on Washington to force FDR to desegregate wartime jobs. Reading this on Night 3 of NYC’s Occupy City Hal to defund Police by $1bil is interesting but also feels archaic.
