Yayyyy she’s finally in NYC!

So much is happening but I’m excited to see how she makes it out of Welch!

I can’t believe Jeanette’s mother just dismissed her being touched by her Uncle! And the explanation on how sexual assault is “a crime of perception”. Her parents have done some crazy stuff and said even crazier but this is peak for me! Wow just wow :(

I’ve been waiting to see where Jeannette’s mindset begins changing on how she views her parents and lifestyle choices and now I’m starting to see the cracks. It’s funny how you remember the names of your bullies.

This book really has me hooked! I’m so sad they had to leave Phoenix :/ and can’t even imagine the emotional scar that Christmas left on them
