Oh my, this is painful for me to read. Not that it is a slog - I am chugging through the ups and downs of Sam Hill(what I almost named both sons)’s life. But the predictability. Have you seen Forest Gump? Replace his intellectual challenges with red eyes. Have you read John Irving? Take out every edge and perversion. Voila! This book. But I read Winston Groom’s books and it was much better.m.
