We've been watching Will Trent! Are the books good??

I accidentally started reading these (totally not my typical genre!) years ago after stumbling onto Karin Slaughter & now I’d like to read the Will Trent series in order(ish) so that I can watch the TV series with my husband this summer. I don’t watch a lot of TV but I’m shocked how addicted I can get to turning pages of Slaughter’s books! I’m looking forward to trying out the screen version; I’d love to hear what you think about the books!

I probably won't read the books until this series concludes. I've read Karin Slaughter before, but not the Will Trent books. I don't like to mix books and shows until I'm done with one or the other. Thanks for the recommendation though! The show is great.
