This book is part of the 2015-16 United Methodist Women's reading list. The story takes place in Skullyville, OK, a Choctaw community. Through the eyes and ears of a young girl we learn about racism, fear, wife beating, love and forgiveness. It is an easy read and has many excellent points for group discussion.
