"La hija" means "the daughter" I really hate it when self published authors use Google Translator for phrases or words when their characters are supposed to speak other languages, what's wrong with a little old fashioned investigation? You don't even need to find a Spanish speaker it's as easy as searching "*insert country here* popular words and phrases" on Google.
