It was ok, simple as that. Lots of torture, kidnapping, unnecessary deaths, people not being dead and everyone was threatening each other all the time. Also Jason being weirdly obsessed with his sisters sexual partners. I skimmed a lot of parts especially in Enzos chapters as it felt repetitive and out-of-body despite being written in first person.
Would not read it a second time but maybe l’ll read the spin-off.

I liked the story line with Aleks but it was tanked so he could get his own spin-off. I respect that but I liked him way more than Enzo (and also thought that they would be a throuple).
Jason did a 180 and it seemed like such a drastic change from the character of the first book.
In general the whole storyline of the second half felt strange and also focused mainly on Katherines being SAd by various men.

Enzo and the whole bad boy thing were too much. Too much trauma, too much violence and too much “I’m sooo god damn sexy” attitude. It was over the top, especially towards the end.
The author tried to make Katherine the intelligent and sassy heroine but in reality she was just naive. Also unsure why every male character seemed to fall in love with her. Probably because of her oh so long legs and brown curls.
