If only I could stand to reread this series

But I can’t bc the writing is absolutely shit

There were so many moments of atrocious writing styles, inner thoughts and dialogue.

So cringe

I attempted to rereread this book at least three times. Def didn’t remember that last scene. No wonder I saved the second book to me “want to read/need the sequel now I’m invested” shelves.

Hopefully the second book isn’t a cliffhanger like this one. Although I have little hope of that since this is progressing so quickly but so slowly at the same time.

This story and trope is such a cliche for its genre.

The characters and dialogue were kind of atrocious.

Honestly, nothing really stands out, at all.
All I remember is Hayden is the fmc.
Also wanted more of Cael and mentions of his tattoos and leather jacket for some reason ??
