I learned more about Miriam from this story, which was cool.

I loved the variety of stories in this anthology. It was awesome to read stories from authors who were Cuban-American and Jewish as well as Indian-American and Jewish. Granted, I'd already liked those three specific authors and their writing, but it was important that their cultures were represented in this book.

It made me sad that Jaya didn't feel that she was Jewish enough because she was from a multicultural family. Fortunately, her grandma comforted and reassured her. She also told Jaya that more English could be included in future Seders.
Just Jaya had a great message about how there are many ways of being Jewish and I really appreciated that. 😊

I smiled when there was the mention of the Maxwell House Haggadahs because my mom and I have those at home. 😆

Double Hallel was funny. It made me smile and chuckle. I enjoyed the art in the story too.

It's wonderful that Hannah's mother and aunt convinced their father to include Miriam's cup in the family seder.
The mentions of Miriam's Song made me happy and brought back fond memories of singing that song in religious school when I was a kid. 😁

The melody would remind me of how the Seder was a living, changing tradition.
I love the idea of the Seder being something that changes over time. 😊

I appreciate how Sammy's realization that they were nonbinary was presented in a positive light. 😊

A.J. Sass's story was great. I liked how Sammy's cousins were understanding and accepting of them. And how their cousins supported them at the end of the story. ☺️

I'm glad that Myra's grandma did her best to understand Myra's sensory issues. She (Myra's grandma) was caring wrt her granddaughter.
Some of Myra's other relatives weren't as understanding about her sensory issues. 🫤😟

The story that I just finished was autobiographical and I *ADORED* it. Ruth Behar wrote about her identity so well; I liked the descriptions of the two Seders she grew up attending.
