Not as bored by Tom Bombadil as I was on my first attempt! Maybe that's a sign that this time I'm in the right mindframe to get through the whole thing?

About as far as I've come in the past. But I am definitely not as bugged by the writing style as I was on previous occasions. So I am really hopefully that this readthrough will be the one that sees me finishing! And hopefully I'll pick up the pace too, otherwise the chances of me getting through the rest of the reading list that's looming over me is slim-to-none.
