Are you familiar with John Taylor Gatto? He is a former award winning public school teacher who wrote an incredibly persuasive book on the dangers of public education.

Yes, I read one of his books years ago called "Weapons of Mass Instruction." I never read his more popular book "Dumbing us Down." I did watch quite a few interviews on youtube.

I didn't always agree with his end conclusions, but he had excellent insights. I don't think he'd be shocked by what public schools have become.
