It's not as confusing as I thought it would be, but I'm also trying to not ask too many questions and just let it happen.
the audio book narrator is great btw, she reads the tone so well and I have trouble with this sometimes so it's great for me, also the voice she does for the twins is so funny and I might have missed if there was a reason or just because it fits the characters but it is hilarious.

only had a short break, and it's been so busy at work i haven't been able to read :(
but i read a little bit on my break and they are explaining a lot more and i think im getting the big picture now, which is exciting! lot of information just in that one chapter tho.

okay not as much progress as i wanted to make but we did indeed have to pull out the goodnotes so i could try and figure out the plot and characters before continuing, which i spend a day doing and now we are back to reading!
also no spoilers but how dare they, that last chapter before act three can go f*ck itself. (can you curse on goodreads?)

okay we have come to the bit were I have no clue what is going on. I lost the plot guys. I don't really mind per se, I'm having fun. But I do think I wanna over analyze this when I'm done, cause I do think the plot is understandable but my brain can not keep up right now (also because i keep focusing on the characters, who I love, and not on the plot, so that's on me) We might have to pull out the goodnotes for this

Would you look at that after carrying around the book in my bag for the last week and a half I actually started it! I'm really enjoying it, I love Gideon and how sarcastic and funny she is, she is also giving himbo vibes. Excited to see where the plot goes, I've heard it can be quite confusing, really appreciate the character guide in the front tho.

are the twins teens? that might explain it because it sounds like the narrator is trying to imitate pasty sickly Victorian ghost child or something like that. which i guess is how they choose to indicate that they were younger then the rest, which is hilarious if you ask me

okay i thought it was two people talking with that same voice, and that is why i assumed it was the twins, but now realize that doesn't make sense with what we know of the twins and realize it must have been one person, and that tells me how well i pay attention to names (which i don't) but to be fair the names are confusing in this book. so just ignore that whole bit pretty please
the twins are 22!
also, ianthe is kind of the sickly victorian child of the twins, so it makes sense that the narrator would use that vibe ahaha
