Chapter 5 is all about cardigans. Though only cardigans that close up the middle are talked about. Most of what is explained about the math that is needed in either designing your own or modifying a pattern is easily understood. that being said the color work portion of this chapter totally lost me. After reading it twice I still don't understand it.

Not the best idea to read the heavy math part while being tired may have to re-read that section. Chapters one and two give a great introduction to getting measurements and talking about desired fabrics. In chapter two there is a lot of talk about different synthetic, animal and plant fibers. Also chapter two does a basic run down about how the spun yarn can effect the overall sweater.
