I wasn't really expecting casual sexism littering a book about niche retail shops, but here it is... hire some attractive women to flirt with male customers to sell your products. Yuck. The copyright date is from 2007 but a lot of the information referenced is from the 80s. I'm pretty certain at this point that the book must be an "update" from a book published in the 80s. It's not much of one, though.

Ugh, the timing of this book is driving me mad. For The Book Den, it references their "present location" in 1990, plus online/Amazon sales (definitely a 2000s thing), with marketing advice to promote your business in the yellow pages (as if) and local newspapers (lol).
