It’s soooo good but what else should we expect from Abdurraqib? Absolutely adoring the history he works in to contextualize things (like how black soldiers in WWI were assigned to fight alongside French soldiers rather than their white compatriots, and the resulting comradery and welcome led to Jazz & black culture becoming huge in 1920s Paris). Incredible!
