Just done reading Cormac McCarthy’s All the Pretty Horses, a terrific book, a true McCarthy masterpiece. Some of the sense are indelible. The dazzling power of his language, its severe beauty at scenes such as when John Grady Cole sees Alejandra riding down, a storm at her back, is quite frankly rare in modern writing. Yearning for more of McCarthy.
