Starting to dislike this book. Holy moly. It is dragging ooooooooooon. There is purpose absolutely in the boringness, but comparatively to the start of the book, this pace has slowed down insurmountably.

Spoiler: now toying with the idea of the sheep being a metaphor, or I suppose an allegory, for something or other. I heard one review that it was the “meaning of life” however I feel that has too many holes. Perhaps it is general zest for life? The presence of the sheep makes the absence of it more painful. Another I suppose instance of mutual opposites.
