Fables #1 is still a great opening after all these years, with the introduction of Jack, Bigby, Snow, Charming, Beauty, Beast, Blue, and Rose. Surprisingly still holds up to re-reading.

Fables #2 introduces Bluebeard and Cinderella, one who has a short villainous turn and the other a larger impact near the end of the series. Its nice to read the Fables Encyclopedia as I go along this journey
