Varrish is like a really bad villian. Telling his grand plan and all that. He reminds me of that villian from Kim Possible. He's so cartoonish.

The pacing really picks up. I actually prefer it to Iron Flame. It's a smooth logical progression, even if it is slower than the first book. The stakes seem more realistic and daunting vs. the whole America Ninja Warrior bit in Book 1 lmfao
