David Mitchell is great on stage! He was a few times in Amsterdam and I so enjoyed listening to him.
Yes he is so eloquent and best of all he is due to hand in his new novel to his publisher this July!!
Henk, that is such good news! Thanks! I did not know! I’ll be running to the store immediately as soon as the novel is available.Regarding the Cloud Atlas celebration event, I wonder whether he read a few pages from the book. When Cloud Atlas was just out, he was in Amsterdam and, upon the request of the audience, he read a few pages from the middle story when the last people on earth almost lost proper language capabilities. It was so funny to hear him utter those lines!
He read the scene at the start of Timothy Cavendish his story, where the critic is thrown from the balcony of a posh event, and told how that scene was a kind of exorcism of a bad review he got for Number9Dream 😂
Henk, interesting! So he is capable of taking a slightly revengeful counteraction. Very nice to do it this way!
