As always with near-future SF some predictions are on on point, others less so.
In Red Mars its leaning towards the latter in regards to logistics and timeline: 100 people going to Mars for permanent settlement in 2026 ain't gonna happen, also no mention of chinese or private sector space programs.
Besides that, its a very exciting read so far!
