The protagonist is fun. An oft-used cliche, some sort of failed endeavour, returns home where everyone knows her, deals with childhood acquaintances etc., getting in the way of law enforcement much to their chagrin, potential law enforcement love interest... all very much overdone in the genre but a good, fun read so far.
