Please elaborate on your horse/men analogy because I’m pretty sure your story would be better than this book. IMHO

haha my mind transposed the if horses were wishes into a Katherine the Great esque story opener. Kinsale’s uncertain magic was so compelling to start but like the poor lame horse, it did not go on to win a triple crown
