Anne Rice’s erotic vein was ever present in her lush novels, her characters were vivid and grounded in their own universe. In contrast, Christopher Rice’s writing is a bit hesitant and it lacks depth. I have read half the book and I still can’t picture any of the characters, the action is dull, the dialogue bland, the story lacks a driver, and the queerness ain’t queerning, honey! He writes for TV.
