I maintained eye contact and tried to keep cool and collected. “Use your imagination.”
Aleks appeared smug at first, leaning back in the stool with his arms crossed, but the longer I held his gaze, the smaller his smile became. It disappeared. He leaned forward with a horrified expression on his face. “I’ll be good,” he promised thickly, sounding frightened.

“Good then.” He nodded a quick, firm bob as if that was the end of that. “Now, I heard about what happened between yourself and the three amigos.”

Debating whether I should stay in his room for the rest of the day, I startled when Corbin, Jace, and Bryce burst through the door nearly yelling in triumph about how they’d found me. Well, Bryce didn’t yell, but he leaned against the wall with a satisfied smirk on his face.

“Oh,” Emerson said, his green gaze less focused, deficient of molten power. “My apologies, luv. I seem to be unable to act on my intentions toward you at this time. Perhaps a rain check?”
“Payton!” Doc Scott reprimanded. “You need to check yourself. Are you propositioning her? In front of all of us?”

saw him with the colossal piece of furniture slung over his shoulder like a bag of potatoes. Brock—seeming to have a sixth sense for when the Russian got up to something—appeared and blocked the way.
Aleks’s eyes landed on the Serbian’s boots. He let out an impatient sigh, casually adjusting the furniture as he settled in for a lecture. “You no fun, Boulder.”

“Callie likes us. She already take candy bracelet. She can get in cover with me each day.”
“Down, boy,” Jace quipped, keeping his arm around my shoulders so I couldn’t wiggle back out of view.
“Ruff,” Aleks growled out, somehow making the bark sound sinful and sexy.
“The fuck are you doing in my bed!”

Silence followed, and I debated burrowing myself into the heavy, green blankets.
Jace spoke up first. “I’m guessing from your reactions that she likes us as more than just friends.”
Yep. I was going under. I started wiggling my way down under the covers, my red face disappearing from view.

“Brock’s room it is.”

“Whoa, bro!” CJ swiveled around in Doc Scott’s computer chair. “We can’t move her from here. Are you out of your mind? She’s on an IV drip for a reason. You can’t just take her off of it. She’s got to build her fluids back up.”
“Superb idea, my twin.” Jace straightened up with me in his arms. “Grab that IV stand for me, will ya, Aleks?”

“Uh, ah…” I blushed, but it probably wasn’t noticeable since my cheeks turned red when I cried.
“So, you do know.” Jace smirked. “Well, out with it then. Who’s got the big, monster bed that has you fidgeting so cutely?”
“Brock,” I blurted. I sniffed, wiping at my eyes only to be handed a tissue by CJ. He was so sweet. “He likes a lot of room because he tosses around in his sleep.”

ll you what. I know just the thing to take your mind off of that pesky brit. Who has the biggest bed here in this mega-mansion?”
CJ dropped the pen he’d been holding and banged his head—loudly—off the desk when he dove to retrieve it. Then, he bruised his knee on the underside scooting back in too fast.
