Treating this as a coffee table audio-read, I think I like listening to Varun Duggirala more than what he's actually saying

fundamentally, I like narratives + character arcs and the more I read the self help genre I realize that these books are anti narrative.

maybe it's a reaction to our shortening attention spans, but the idea of a self help book is always more alluring than it's reality I fear.
