The first chapter aptly named, “The history of an idea”, covers how historians and academics have seemingly always struggled to define this very made up concept.
Is strategy limited to the battlefield, the war zone, the campaign, or the policies that determine the war itself?
It’s all interesting, and fascinating in the sense that those word kind of only started to exist 200-ish years ago.

Very academic book. Really enjoying the manner in which topics and ideas are engaged with.
