No one deserves to have their ass beaten more than Beth. I was hoping I’d like her by now. A better thing could not have happened to a worse character.

Thank goodness we have a new perspective.

I feel like I don’t have to feel bad for hating this character since I loathed her in the beginning. Great story, powerful message, terrible woman. Also, the amount of body checking in the book is genuinely upsetting to read.

I’m leaving this note prior to the big disaster to be totally fair to the character development. But so far, Beth is everything I do not want to be as a partner or person. The level of disdain I feel for her is honestly shocking to me. I appreciate her blunt honesty, but that doesn’t mean I like her.
