At this point, I think you could replace half the book by a map of Mars, with every pothole marked on it and a few comments on what people are doing here and there. The characters lack substance to really make it work as a story.

I decided last night that I had enough of this book. I should have stopped earlier, but I was still hoping for something of interest. What a waste of time! My interest dropped even lower when I started on Part 6, that was my cue to stop bothering with this book.

I'm lost in the who's who, I don't care for the who's with who, and I'm stuffed with all the technical details. All in all it's like a Mars colony reality show, with a lot of technical babble but not much happening.
