Really good, but not in a deranged page-turning way. In a way of I will carry it with me and if I happen to have idle time, I will be reading it.
Not as compelling as expected, but there’s something I love about the mundanity of Jayne’s world. I also think her inner world as a younger sister is very interesting to me as an older sister.
So far… 3.5 stars. Maybe 4. The reading continues.

Sometimes I just think Jayne is the most insufferable person, the she has moments where she’s really empathetic and observant of the silent burdens her older sister carries, which makes me feel seen and also makes me wonder if younger sisters actually think about those things. Also I wonder if the author is an older sister writing what she wishes younger sisters would say or if she’s a younger sister herself.
