Enjoying the book. But I wouldn't fall all over yourself to go and get this. I like science, measurement and history, so this is of interest to me. Wouldn't necessarily say a page turner, but it starts with some juicy tidbits the author unearthed from hard to access archives. It's an interesting story about the birth of the metric system and the tribulations the "savants" went through. Parallels French Revolution.
