I'm on the Book 2 portion and I like that it really did feel like a first book with a resolution not totally satisfying but could easily see it published as is and then Book 2 picks up 7 years later to continue and deal with loose threads. Really nice style, page turner

pretty nice groundwork happening, foreboding but not creepy, lots of details of Rossetti life, setting us up for some danger, more serious vibe than On Stranger Tides but the magic is just as cool and learning the lore is nicely peppered in
