I hate it. Between the pages long commentary from the main character to the pages long descriptions of magic/creatures to the very very boring romantic lead, Novik has managed to make monster magic school boring. I listened to the audiobook of the first one awhile back and thought "it couldn't have been that bad right?" Reader, it was that bad.
