This book is eminently readable. I had little idea what it was going into it, but the chapters are way shorter than I was expecting. Like, 10-minute long chapters. They barely have time to get into more than a paragraph on a specific topic regarding a murderer's methods, for example, and maybe that's what some of the reviews complain about. But as a light read, it's really good.
