Schreiner's part is a slog. He doesn't seriously handle objections to PSA except by saying "they don't really understand it". He employs a poisoning-the-well tactic against Joel Green at one point. My opinion of this book so far: it's a presidential debate except they're talking atonement instead of politics. The lack of humility of Boyd & Schreiner is unbecoming of a Christian, let alone a pastor. May not finish.

In his response to Boyd's Christus Victor view, Bruce R. Reichenbach cites many of Boyd's other works, showing how Boyd's theology in those works informs his view. This was helpful to me because it showed me where Boyd's conclusions in Cross Vision (the only other work of his I have read) are based on open theism assumptions.

Thank GOD I am done with Boyd's section. I read his book Cross Vision, enjoyed it, and was looking forward to his part in this book. Now I feel like I need to go back to Cross Vision to see if his problematic theology and arrogance are present there too and I just missed it.
Also, don't cite yourself as evidence to back up a claim. I already know what you think!
