finally picking up where s1 of princess agents left off… lake scene i’m not mentally ready oh my god

(finally getting closure seven years later on what happens after that scene in the last 33% of this book hallelujah)

i CANT put the book down omg… even better than the show. although i love lin genxin’s portrayal of yuwen yue, his book counterpart zhuge yue is so much more unhinged and cheeky i’m having so fun! also am loving li ce’s larger role in the novel, can’t believe they cut out all this plot in s1…

there are 292 chapters… i’m still on plot that’s like halfway through s1 of the tv show content… i just want to know what happens after they fall in the river please

notable differences from tv show so far:
- they're kids in the beginning?? much more horrific considering the shit they go thru + how am i supposed to root for my ship when they're 8 & 13.... time jump soon i beg

- instead of mc's forgotten enemy spy org. past she's modern day spy transported back in time? rip that storyline I wanted...

- male mc. name is zhuge yue not yuwen yue?? yuwen sounds sm better <33

finally reading the princess agents novel… gonna find out what happens after post s1 cliffhanger/ cancellation where yuwen yue gets shot by an arrow in the heart and falls down the icy lake + how his relationship with chuqiao changes now that she’s 1) regained her memories of being the leader of the enemy spy organisation 2) realised her feelings for him & tried to save him ahhhhhh
