It is slow going - not much has happened so far, and the vehemence of Emerald's (the heroine's) feelings for the hero are over the top (without a foundation, imo) such that at this point, I like the hero more than the heroine, and I am not sure I buy into their HEA. I so wanted to like this more by this point in the story.
