The writing in this book is really starting to irritate me. It's just so...unnecessarily wordy? Flowery, maybe? It's like every sentence has about ten words that don't really need to be there and you have to pick through them to get to the point. Add that to the lack of editing and it's a chore.

It would be nice if she could decide on a spelling of his last name and stick to it. It's already gone back and forth from illes to iles three times and I'm only a chapter in. Did nobody even proofread this book?
