I’m surprised how much I’m enjoying this book. I should point out that’s mostly about relationships between men and women in marked difference to the story of Frankenstein where the major relationship is between two men.

On and on and on. And then the narrator expresses his thoughts in pre-Victorian ladylike language which makes sense because the author is just that, a refined cultivated pre Victorian lady, except that the narrator is a dude. This is why I don’t believe she wrote Frankenstein by herself. That novel feels too brooding and masculine compared to this vaporish tale of woe

Sounds like Lord Byron was a precursor to Lawrence of Arabia. Byron of Greece, I guess. Why have no films been done of that
