I might finish this tonight, but I have to warn you there are many similarities to the movie "When Harry Met Sally". It's like the author took the movie and reformatted it into a YA book. The bowling double date with Eli, Bailey, Dana, and Charlie is a duplicate of the scene where Carrie Fisher's character in the movie takes off in a cab with Bruno Kirby's character.
